President and CEO

Ali Solis

Ali has led successful national campaigns during her two decade tenure in housing and thinks it’s about time that renters' needs move to the top of the national agenda. She’s a deal-maker, coalition-builder and advocate for people and places that need help the most. Her two teenage daughters think Taylor Swift should do a Make Room Concert for the 1st.

Director of Digital

Dick Larimer

The world of housing advocacy is new to Dick, but he has been developing digital content his entire career, including original videos, branded content, interactives and other online content for Microsoft and Merrill Lynch. Theater and movies are his first love and remain his favorite pastime. At home, he is surrounded by creative, funny ladies – his wife and two daughters – who are the Edith and Glorias to his Archie.

Chief Administrator

Carrie Brown

Carrie has run marketing shops and staffed CEOs and now she keeps the trains running for Make Room. Her relatives used to throw rent parties in Baltimore and she’s glad to be advocating for all the folks who can’t make their rent today. She’s also a fiber media artist and mom to a recent college graduate.

Senior Director, National Programs and Partnerships

Michele White

Michele has produced events, managed talent and built partnerships between corporations and causes with Amtrak, Time Warner, Warner Bros. Pictures, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and many others. Before Make Room Michele led entertainment, sports and event marketing for Amtrak, including overseeing Amtrak’s signature event, National Train Day, for six years. She is skilled at creating events that promote both grasstops and consumer advocacy and in building activations that generate tens of millions of dollars in earned media. Michele loves to travel and going to the movies in her spare time.

Digital Media Associate

Dottie Kramer

Dottie is a recent Ohio University graduate from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. She is a Maryland native with an intense love of all things crab (although, surprisingly doesn't like seafood). When she isn't working, you can find Dottie oogling dogs at various dog parks, eating ice cream, or running.
