Your support makes a huge difference to us and the 11 million families struggling to make rent every month.
Ali has led successful national campaigns during her two decade tenure in housing and thinks it’s about time that renters' needs move to the top of the national agenda. She’s a deal-maker, coalition-builder and advocate for people and places that need help the most. Her two teenage daughters think Taylor Swift should do a Make Room Concert for the 1st.
The world of housing advocacy is new to Dick, but he has been developing digital content his entire career, including original videos, branded content, interactives and other online content for Microsoft and Merrill Lynch. Theater and movies are his first love and remain his favorite pastime. At home, he is surrounded by creative, funny ladies – his wife and two daughters – who are the Edith and Glorias to his Archie.CONTACT
Carrie has run marketing shops and staffed CEOs and now she keeps the trains running for Make Room. Her relatives used to throw rent parties in Baltimore and she’s glad to be advocating for all the folks who can’t make their rent today. She’s also a fiber media artist and mom to a recent college graduate.CONTACT

Sarah is a recent college graduate from the George Washington University. Despite being relatively new to the “real world,” Sarah has extensive experience in events, philanthropy, and marketing through her various leadership roles in her sorority. Those, combined with her internships in social media and degree in Journalism, make Sarah just what our Advocacy team needs. On the weekends she likes to explore the DC restaurant scene, as she is always on the hunt for the best brunch in the city.Contact
Dottie is a recent Ohio University graduate from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. She is a Maryland native with an intense love of all things crab (although, surprisingly doesn't like seafood). When she isn't working, you can find Dottie oogling dogs at various dog parks, eating ice cream, or running.Contact
